About
Air Moldova was the flag carrier airline of the Republic of Moldova, established on January 12, 1993. Headquartered in Chișinău, it primarily operated scheduled and charter flights to various European destinations from its base at Chișinău International Airport. The airline offered both Business and Economy classes and, at one point, held approximately 50% of the air passenger flow in the local market. Air Moldova was an active member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 2004 and was included in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) register. However, Air Moldova suspended all operations on May 3, 2023, due to financial constraints.
