Most of the routes on the Academy bus schedule run from New Jersey locations, such as Asbury Park, Hazlet, Lakewood, North Middletown, and Shrewsbury. Almost all services run to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and there should be 6-8 direct buses every day from most locations. Some also terminate at Wall Street and Midtown, providing flexibility for commuters coming from NJ. Other routes run from destinations near Washington, DC, and Baltimore to the center of those cities, and there's also a service from Staten Island to New York. In all cases, holiday schedules apply at certain times, meaning passengers may have fewer departures to choose from.

Academy fares & ticket information

Various Academy fares are available. Port Authority fares apply for services to New York's main bus station from NJ locations. Wall Street fares apply to buses that terminate in southern Manhattan, and Cross River Combo fares cover services to Jersey City, which require a short transfer via NYWW ferries.
Children under five years old ride free when accompanied by an adult and if free seats are available. There are also discounts for travelers aged 62 and over, and it's possible to purchase seasonal tickets for regular journeys.
