Flybe
About
Flybe was a British regional airline that, at various points, was Europe's largest independent regional carrier, handling over half of the UK's domestic flights outside London. Originally launched in 1979 as Jersey European Airways, it was rebranded as Flybe in 2002. The airline focused on connecting communities across the UK and Europe, operating from bases like Birmingham, Belfast City, Manchester, and Southampton. Despite its significance, Flybe faced financial struggles, leading to its collapse in March 2020, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A relaunched version of Flybe began operations in April 2022 but ceased trading again in January 2023.
