Walking Around in Lucerne

Lucerne is the most populous town in central Switzerland and it's located in the German-speaking region of the country. Starting at the Lucerne Railway Station, which was designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, you can find easily find the Modern Art Museum and the Rosengart Collection. The Modern Art Museum will be located on Rober-Zünd-Strasse. On the other side of the train station, on Pilataustrasse, you will encounter the Rosengart Collection. Continue down towards the Pilataustrasse and then up Theaterstrasse to cross Lake Lucern over the Rathaussteg bridge to arrive at the city center. Before crossing Rathaussteg bridge, you will find on the west side of the street the Jesuitenkirche and impressive baroque-style church. Once you have crossed the bridge, you will be able to encounter countless attractions in the area, including the Chapel Bridge, the Rathaus (Town Hall), the Mussegg Wall, the Zyt Tower, and the Bucherer. From the Bucherer, which is located on Schweizerhofquai, head east down this street to Löwenstrasse and then go up towards Zürichstrasse. Here, you will encounter another area filled with local attractions, such as the Church of St. Leodegar, the Bourbaki Panorama, and the Dying Lion of Lucerne statue.
