The first Innsbruck - Vienna train connection starts early at 5, the last at 1.30. The Austrian company Österreichische Bundesbahn operates Railjet, EuroNight and IC trains on the route. Depending on the type of train, the trips take a good 4-6 hours. In addition, there are transfer connections which, however, do not require much longer. The changeover takes place in Salzburg.

Train to Vienna

The trains from Innsbruck arrive in Vienna at Westbahnhof. It is located on the western edge of the city center, about 4 kilometers from St. Stephen's Cathedral. Under the station is the underground station of the same name, where the lines U3 and U6 depart. With the U3, travelers reach the city center every 3 minutes during the day. The underground U3 leaves in 9 minutes to the station Wien Mitte-Landstraße. The U6 connects the Westbahnhof with the northern and western districts of Vienna. During the night there are connections to the night lines N49 and N75, which stop at the centrally located Wien Oper station, for example.
