There are five daily trains from Paris to Cannes throughout the year. The route is managed by TGV and its high-speed Duplex trains take just over 5 hours to complete the 940km journey. The first train departs just before 08.00 am and the last leaves Paris in the late afternoon. During spring and summer an Intercities de Nuit overnight service, the Train Bleu, is also available.
Taking the Train from Paris
TGV trains from Paris to Cannes depart from Gare de Lyon on Place Louis Armand near the right bank of the River Seine. The station is served by lines 1 and 14 of the Paris Metro and RER line D. Taxis can drop passengers on Rue de Bercy or Boulevard Diderot and RATP 20, 24, 29, 57, 61, 63, 65, 87 and 91 buses all stop nearby. Night trains depart from Gare de Austerlitz on the left bank of the Seine. Metro lines 5 and 10 stop at the station which is also served by RATP 24, 57, 61, 63, 89 and 91 buses and the N1315 night bus.
